September is Nova Scotia Polish Heritage Month. Enjoy displays highlighting Polish culture, including costumes, crafts, food, travel, and jewellery.
There will be giveaways and door prizes, and this year's featured author William Kowalski will be signing books.

Join us for a screening of the critically acclaimed film, Cold War. Nominated for three Oscars and set in the 1950s, Cold War tells the story of a music director who falls in love with a singer and tries to persuade her to flee Communist Poland. (Polish with English subtitles). Rated 14A | 2019 | 1h28m, for Ages 14+

After the film, there will be a discussion and more chances to browse the displays.
This is an in-person event with limited, socially-distanced seating. A mask is required at all times. No food or drink is allowed.
For your safety, in-person programs will follow attendance limits as fitting to the program space and set-up. Participants are expected to be socially distanced, wear masks, and follow the Library's other COVID-19 protocols noted in our Status of Library Service.
