The Same Page: Communicating When There’s Conflict

7:45 PM – 8:45 PM
Central Library

Description

These days, people get their information from many different places. It can be stressful to communicate with people we love when they don’t share our opinions on important topics.

This evening's guest speakers are Ajay Parasram, Associate Professor, Dalhousie International Development Studies and History, and Alex Khasnabish, Professor, Mount Saint Vincent Sociology and Anthropology. They will provide suggestions on how to ease this process.

ASL interpretation will be provided by Carolyn Carter and Emily Power. Refreshments will be available. Masks are encouraged.

The Same Page is a 6-part speaker series and community conversations designed by Fernwood Publishing aimed at supporting your informed decisions amid quickly changing information. Runs from August 30 to September 1. View all dates.

In partnership with Fernwood Publishing, Dalhousie University, ECE Law, MacEachen Institute, and Mount Saint Vincent University.
