Nick Rolls’ intricate, detailed wooden model ships can be found across the world, from Saipan, Micronesia, and England, to Toronto and our own Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia.
In this talk, Nick will share the history of wooden boat model-building, the materials needed, and his own experience building models from age 17 to 71, starting in 1968.
He will also discuss the history of the two model ships on display at the Musquodoboit Harbour Public Library.
