Backyard Composting

1:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Keshen Goodman Public Library

Description

Backyard composting is a process where individuals convert organic waste, like food scraps and yard debris, into nutrient-rich compost for use in gardens and lawns. It's a simple and effective way to reduce waste and enrich the soil.

Come join Cyndi Fraser from the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), as she introduces community members to backyard composting and vermicomposting. Afterwards, there will be a booth with waste sorting information and giveaways.
