Canada Alone: Navigating the Post-American World

6:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Central Library

Description

Join us for a public talk by Kim Richard Nossal and a lively discussion of Canada Alone: Navigating the Post-American World, one of the most stimulating books on U.S.-Canada relations in recent years.

The global order has been disrupted by the re-election of Donald Trump, and diplomacy based upon durable post-war alliances has been replaced by exchanges of missiles. Our featured speaker, Kim Richard Nossal, saw it coming and provided an early warning in his prophetic 2023 book, Canada Alone: Navigating the Post American World.

During this free event, Nossal will provide an essential guide to finding our way forward in this deeply unfamiliar post-American world.

About the Author: Kim Richard Nossal is one of Canada’s leading authorities on Canada and its place in the world. He is professor emeritus of political studies and a fellow of the Centre for International and Defence Policy at Queen’s University and author of a host of well-known books on Canadian foreign and defence policy. This public talk is part of his national speaking tour.
