Drop in to watch and chat with local artist, Judith Orr, as she paints live!
About the Artist: Judith started drawing at an early age when, according to her mother, drawing kept her quiet and entertained as a child. Judith started painting in watercolour later in life by taking a few workshops but is mostly self-taught, and is still learning. Judith currently resides in Bedford and has lived in numerous places in Nova Scotia, PEI, and Ontario. She draws on many life experiences and current events for subject matter. Judith attended five universities (so far) and has worked in many fields including dental hygiene, education, domestic violence, biology, farming, and piano teaching. Painting adds to a long list of interests including playing the French Horn, beekeeping, fitness, travel, volunteer work, gardening, nature, and the environment.
“Painting can be very relaxing and outside your normal day-to-day. I encourage anyone to get out and try new things - like drawing and painting."
Judith's artwork will be on display at the Library from December 1-31.
