Join us in celebrating the courage, strength, and challenge that comes with arriving in a new place.
We begin with a musical tribute to the Mi’kmaw people, recognizing that we are all newcomers to this land. Then, we highlight what newcomers have brought to Nova Scotian shores, including music from Acadian, African, Chinese, Gaelic, and many more cultures!
Featuring Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser as conductor and the Halifax Ukranian Children's Choir.
Symphony Nova Scotia's family shows are designed to be participatory, relaxed, and informal. We welcome children on the autism spectrum and their parents, and we encourage children to be active and involved in our orchestral performances. Vocalizations, movements, and taking breaks are all part of the fun!
Seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
