May is Cemetery Month! Join us each week to hear from guest speakers who not only celebrate these sacred spaces, but educate on their history, beauty, and significance to our community.

Craig Ferguson will be giving a free tour of the Old Burying Ground. The tour will include Halifax history, a representative selection of the OBG's differing styles of gravestones, as well as some stories behind individual markers and the people buried beneath them. The tour is approximately one hour in length. The tour will begin at the Barrington Streer entrance. Please note that the ground in the OBG is uneven and some walking is required.

Craig Ferguson is a writer and TV producer living in Halifax. He sometimes hyperfixates on cemeteries, local history, and biographies. Craig is the author of the book Dead In Halifax, and host of TV1’s Graveyard Detective. He is a board member of the Old Burying Foundation.
