Events › Shades of Indian Music: A Concert with Ashwani Kumar

Please join us for a performance featuring beautiful shades of Indian music with composer and singer Ashwani Kumar. This concert will introduce the rich tradition of Indian music to new audiences, while also offering fans of this music an opportunity to enjoy the sound they love. Several different genres of Indian music will be featured, including khayal, tarana, thumri, bhajan, qawwali, and ghazal.

Ashwani Kumar will be accompanied by talented musicians, namely, Nayha Acharya (mandolin), Sidharth S. (tabla), and Megan Boyko (cello). The concert will be followed by an audience Q&A.

The concert is designed as an attentive listening experience. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to take your seats.
