"Senbazuru," which translates to "one thousand cranes" in Japanese, is the tradition of folding a thousand origami paper cranes. According to legend, completing this task grants the folder a wish.
In celebration of Asian Heritage Month, we're inviting you to make a crane during your Library visit (or take home supplies to make cranes at home, and deliver them to the front desk).
The cranes will be displayed in the branch as we receive them, so we can watch our progress together.
