Duncan does not understand such things as why dessert must be eaten last or why people should share, and on his mischievous days, like one particular birthday, he has a hard time paying attention to rules.

Didn't like this book. The concept of a little boy having a bad birthday and learning about sharing, behaviour, consequences and apologies sounds good, but I did not like the way the author dealt with these issues and didn't like the illustrations either.
