This movie wasn’t as charming as the first. A lot of the things which I loved about the first movie were changed here. In the first movie, Bridget was just as clumsy and awkward as she is in this sequel, but it never ended up going too far or being too embarrassing. I loved that the first movie didn’t focus on Bridget’s embarrassments, but in this sequel they did exactly that, and a lot of the comedy (or what I presume was comedy?) was based on her, for lack of better terms, mistakes. A lot of my time watching it was spent cringing. Mr. Darcy, just like in the first movie, was incredibly likeable and charming and nothing but nice to Bridget, but she somehow kept missing that. There were, however, definitely some good things as well as bad. It was still funny and sweet, and at some points we could cheer her on for making the right choice. I found myself being overjoyed by Mark at times and cheering him on. Plus, bonus points for the plot twist with Rebecca. 3.5/5 stars

Bridget and Mark Darcy pick up where they left off from the 2001 prequel with the womanizer Daniel Cleaver lurking in the background. Hilarious voice overs and scenes endearing for women like Bridget who has two gorgeous men get into a street fight for her, again. The Bonus Features>>Bridget's Desk>>Deleted scenes with Introductions>>Baby Fantasy, a clip on the birth of a baby is jaw dropping funny. Don't miss it.

Bridget Jones's Diary (2001): ★★★★ Cult film status as London's Sex in The City. Don't miss the topless Bridget Jones scene shown during the end credits.

Bridget Jones The Edge of Reason (2004): ★★★½

Bridget Jones's Baby (2016): ★★½ Seems to be a fairy tale about a WHIP (Woman who is Hot, Intelligent and in her Prime) who was still single but primed to procreate and settle down with her backup dream mate.

A step down from the first film, which was very enjoyable. This one is a little too over the top for me.

This sequel to "Bridget Jones's Diary" is entertaining and humorous, but I still prefer the first movie.

While the following word play humor is not really funny but it was sort of funny:

Bijjit, right?
-Bridget, actually.
What about you, Bijjit? What your bad boyfriend do?
-Well, er... he really didn't stick up for me at this lawyers' supper...

Bridget Jones: I truly believe that happiness is possible... even when you're thirty-three and have a bottom the size of two bowling balls.
