The narration is dull, the travelogue boring, the documentary fails to capture Ireland the way it should be captured for those planning a trip to Ireland.

Yes, folks - Welcome to good, old Ireland! - And, believe me, what you see here in this DVD is an Ireland that is as pretty as a picture postcard.

Ireland (where religion certainly weighs heavy in the air) is a 33,000 square mile island situated in the cold Atlantic Ocean, just off the coast of Britain. To be sure, this island has a long-long history of human occupation which actually goes as far back as 8000 BC.

Presented in five parts - This 2.5-hour travelogue-documentary features many of the more notable highlights of Ireland.

From Ireland's fascinating history, to its remote, natural beauty, to its ancient ruins and its modern-day lifestyles - This DVD certainly is a great way to generate genuine interest for the viewer and, perhaps, promote potential tourism in this unique European setting where the old meets the new.
