It's a good and detailed read. Covers a bunch of things I hadn't even thought about pertaining to running (choocing shoes, nutrition, cross training, injuries, training plan, stretching, etc)
After reading this book, i switched from couch to 5k to the 13 week to 10k plan, described in this book. So far I am very happy with the results.
