12th book in the series
This gives a locale-specific dimension into Dwight's love for his eight year old son, Cal, because his fatherhood is one of the important aspects of his character, and it also shows his love. Deborah and Dwight become yet again, a team, in the search for the sad truth of a sad event.

Usually by this point in a series I'm calling it quits. Ok, so the series did seem to lag a bit a couple books back, but I really enjoyed this one. I have to say it's the characters of Deborah and Dwight who keep me coming back. That and hoping Mr. Kezzie makes an appearance.

Not up to Maron's usual standard.
