An interesting take on the famous Russian spies in Britain in the 50's and 60's - Burgess, Blunt, Philby etc. Here there is suspicion that there was a sixth unknown spy. An academic attempts to find evidence but is hindered at every effort and soon his life is in peril.
An enjoyable read, good tension and historical references and a believable protagonist who bumbles and stumbles his way to an answer - was there a sixth Russian spy.

An above-average spy thriller, this book tells the story of the "Sixth Man". The historian on his track is very written character - just the right amount of disorganization and intelligence.

Classic Cold War spycraft; suspenseful & gripping. From the Washington Post’s best books of 2012 – good call!

Some of the best espionage/spy thriller reading in the library. So realistic, at times you think you're a fly on the wall. Historical fiction at it's best.

One of those books that you hate to put down and can't wait to pick up again. The London locales throughout also added to the imagery.
