"Meet Daisy Winters. She's an offbeat sixteen-year-old Floridian with mermaid-red hair; a part time job at a bootleg Walmart, and a perfect older sister who's nearly engaged to the Crown Prince of Scotland. Daisy has no desire to live in the spotlight, but relentless tabloid attention forces her join Ellie at the relative seclusion of the castle across the pond."--From publisher.

Bear with the first few pages - a little slow starting off, but it became a very enjoyable book - like a mini-vacay to Scotland! You can tell that the author did a lot of research, both about the private lives of royalty, and about Scottish cultures. I enjoyed the main character's "attitude" problem - sounded like a real teenager! I wish that there would be a sequel!

A Great Book for Great Kids pick. When Daisy's older sister gets engaged to the Crown Prince of Scotland, Daisy makes the royal rulebook all her own. Grades 7-8.

Fun and fluffy and royalty and teenagers. Just what I needed on a rainy day with a headache!
