"DWAYNE JOHNSON stars in this new HBO® comedy about a group of past and present football players trying to figure out where the game ends and life begins, all while keeping their cool and having each other's backs. Set in sun-soaked Miami, the series revolves around retired football superstar/financial manager Spencer Strasmore (Johnson) and his inner circle of friends/clients -- each a pro when it comes to playing the game, but not when it comes to life off the field. Also starring John David Washington (former pro-football player), Omar Miller (CSI: Miami), Troy Garity (Barbershop) and Rob Corddry (Hot Tub Time Machine). "--Container.

I really enjoyed this show more than I thought I would. Less Dude Bro than Entourage... thankfully!!

I thought it was pretty good show!

Lacks content. Too difficult to care for the characters. Best of show is Corddry.

Ballers, plain and simple, is crude, crass and borders on gross. If I were a black athlete watching this, I'd throw a brick at the screen; it is beyond cliche and makes these pros look like gigantic -instant gratification - morons. Johnson must really need this job. In his shoes, I'd be embarrassed to play this role. We got to 3 episodes before we just turned it off. There is no story here just scenes of cars, booze, dope, nudity and puking.

Almost a dud, but not quite. If you're a fan of The Rock, it will probably work. BALLERS is sort of an End Times situation comedy where none of the players are appealing and nothing said is funny. What is fascinating about the HBO series is (more proof) how completely lost our civilization is. Booties and greenbacks are the only metric.

it's a show about partying in 95% of the episodes. About 10 seconds of football in the show.

the sports version of Entourage, but without the laughs
