After listening to this album countless times, it brought me through ups and downs, emotionally. Although it's very dark and mysterious, it also has a groove and an upbeat feeling where you want to move to it, more specifically the song Blinding Lights. My favourite song was Hardest to Love because he sings about how he can feel how his lover doesn't want him anymore. It's an interesting take on the topic musically because it's more upbeat than the norm. I enjoyed this album and would recommend it to anyone willing to listen to The Weeknd's experience with love and heartbreak, not only with a romantic partner but himself as well. My main takeaway was that it's okay to talk about the darker side of a relationship because everyone goes through it, and relatability is powerful @Mr.Balance of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

“After Hours” is The Weeknd’s fourth studio album that he released in March 2020. I am literally obsessed with this album, as it sounds a lot different from his last album. A lot of the songs off this album, like “Blinding Lights” and “In Your Eyes”, have an 80s vibe to them that I love. You probably at least have heard “Blinding Lights” on the radio at least once but let me tell you that I could listen to this song all day and not get tired of it. I also love when the song “After Hours” changes halfway through the song to more of an upbeat song. The transition in the song when the beat changes makes me so happy. It honestly took me a while to really enjoy this album as the first few listens, everything kind of sounded the same to me. Definitely not The Weeknd’s best in my opinion, but it is still an amazing album. I rate “After Hours” by The Weeknd 4/5 stars. @KyKy18 of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
