From my very first listen I just fell in love with "Kyoto." It's just such a great tune. Funny, self deprecating, and sad but so catchy. Love it when the trumpets kick in. And I'm pleased to say the rest of the album has really grown on me. It might be a bit more earnest than I'd like, but that's probably 'cause I'm not comfortable with emotions--can't blame Phoebe Bridgers for that!
Peak depression music. Ethereal, brutal, delicate, honest.
