This was the first book I read from Neil Gaiman's Sandman series of graphic novels (it is actually the 3rd in the series). It contains four short stories in a comic book format (the ever shifting Sandman character is the link between stories) and it is for adult audiences. Gaiman's work in general tends to be intense and unpredictable which is something I appreciate and I found these stories in this format to be especially intriguing, disturbing, and vivid. I particularly liked the first two stories - one concerning an imprisoned muse and the other about cats dreaming of ruling the earth. I am new to the world of graphic novels (trying to read one a month) so I am glad I stumbled across this one and I intend to read more from this series.
