Confessions of a Heavy Metal Addict
Jun 24, 2020vickmeister rated this title 5 out of 5 stars
From the moment he first thrilled to the sound of Angus Young killin' it with his guitar riffs on an AC/DC album, Seb Hunter knew metal music was for him. This is his amusing account of how he (clumsily) made his way from being a fan to being in bands; their members utterly convinced that they were destined for greatness no matter how weak their actual musical talents and character flaws might seem to prove otherwise. Interspersed with his personal recollections are humorous aside related to various kinds of heavy metal, tongue-in-cheek definitions, ratings, and other entertaining related random thoughts. You don't have to be a metal fan to enjoy this but it will probably resonate with you if your youth coincided with the 1980s. I greatly enjoyed it.
