Read to Me's Representation Matters Booklist
Representation Matters: An Africentric Booklist for Babies, Toddlers & Preschoolers Read to Me is a non-profit, province-wide, early reading promotion program. They give a FREE bag of books and reading resources to every baby born in Nova Scotia at the hospital bedside, to encourage parents and caregivers to read to their baby from the very start. The titles in this list were carefully selected by the Read to Me Program in partnership with a committee of parents and experts in the fields of literacy and early childhood education from the African Nova Scotian community.
